No, you can’t get HIV from just touching. Here are ways HIV is spread
- Contact with infected blood, semen, or vaginal and cervical secretions with mucous membranes or an open wound;
- Injection of infected blood or blood products (i.e. with shared needle;)
- Transmission from infected mother to fetus and during breastfeeding
If you’re sexually active, make sure you’re practicing safer sex by using a latex barrier.
