Truth:

It doesn’t matter what position you choose to have sex in ­– there is always a risk of pregnancy (especially if you don’t use birth control).

Truth:

HPV, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, and even HIV can all be spread through oral sex.

Truth:

Not only is this false, but you might end up hurting your partner in the process. Take the time to buy a condom.

Truth:

Men produce millions of sperm each day. After ejaculation, the next few thousand are ready to go almost immediately.

Truth:

False. Sperm are determined little swimmers and can survive in your body for up to six days while waiting for an egg.

Truth:

Urinating or douching after sex does NOTHING to prevent pregnancy. In fact, douching can push sperm closer to the egg, making it easier to get pregnant.

Truth:

Not at all. Using household items on your genitals will only cause pain – a LOT of pain.

Truth:

Water provides zero protection against pregnancy. And no, the chlorine in a swimming pool or the heat from a hot tub doesn’t kill sperm, either. Anytime sperm enters the vagina, you can get pregnant.

Truth:

It doesn’t matter if it’s your first time or 100th time, you can get pregnant whenever sperm enters the vagina.

Truth:

If birth control is used correctly, it works correctly. Some methods are more effective than others. Talk to your doctor about what birth control option works best for you.
