I am in a relationship with this guy who moved way too fast. I couldn’t tell him without hurting him. I only had one boyfriend and that was from age 14 till 17 and I had his child at 15. I left him and 2 months later met this guy (the one that moved fast. I can’t tell him I’m unhappy with him. I hate to say but the way it happened he was kind of like a rebound. I don’t know how to break up with him. He moved all the way here with me and I feel bad that I don’t love him anymore. I don’t know what to do….

Dear Anon,

Be honest with him, both of you deserve that honesty. You didn’t ask but I feel that you need to take some time to find out what you are looking for in a partner and in a relationship. Once you know the answer to those questions, you will be better prepared to say no if you feel that someone is moving too quickly.

Telling him how you feel will be painful for both of you but in the long run, both of you will be better off.
