Unfortunately, there is no easy answer for this question. You don’t say how old your are or if you are in a relationship, both of which might alter my answer.
Much will depend on the relationship that you have with your parents. If you are fortunate to have a relationship built on respect and trust, while your parents may not agree with your decision, they may respect your feelings and help you seek medical care that would include education on how to protect yourself from an unintended pregnancy or an STI infection.
If you do not have that type of relationship with your parents, you may find that your parents will become angry and may set boundaries that you don’t agree with. I would hope that if this occurs, you will view the situation from their perspective—understanding that parents want the very best for their children.
Should you make the decision to become sexually active, seek medical care to ensure that you understand your contraceptive options and that you have a clear understanding of how sexually transmitted infections can be prevented.
Hope this helps.
